What does it mean if the left side of my head is starting to feel numb?

If it goes on for hours on end, without change or subsiding, I’d want to get it checked out. I’m not a medical professional, so I can’t give you a diagnosis or advise you what types of over the counter medication to take. I can only SHARE with you, that… on many occasions, I have had pain/numbness on the left side of my head & when it included throbbing… it was my ear infection that was deep within my jaw from my bad teeth. I took a cup of the hottest water I could stand, added some salt & held the mixture in my mouth until it cools down & then I keep on filling my mouth again & again with hot water (or the mix of salt & water) until the pain subsided. I have also stood in a hot shower until my head felt better & used electric heating pads to decrease pain. I have also had a pinched nerve in my back & neck that causes numbness on the side of my head. It pays to know your body & what works for your set of issues. Whatever you do, don’t take any medications that would impede the exam
