What does it mean if my credit report Date of Last Activity column reads NOT REPORTED?

Time for another class on “Credit Reporting 101” The “last activity date” is the last time anything has been reported on this item. It only reflects that something is happening regarding this debt, and has nothing to do with the credit reporting period. What you are looking for is the “delinquency date”. This is the date you first missed your payment. Credit reporting can only occur for7 years from this date. It MUST be reported to the credit bureau within 90 day of their posting. I am suspecting that the collection agent does not have full information about your debt. So file a dispute with the credit bureau saying the delinquency date is being misreported. They will verify this info. Also send the creditor a demand to validate the debt.
