Probation: If a doctor or other health care provider has been placed on probation, this means the Medical Board took a disciplinary action and that action extends over a specified period of time. The licensee is monitored periodically by the Board to assure compliance with the terms and conditions established in the Board’s order. The terms and conditions of probation vary and it is necessary to read the Board’s order to know what they entail.
