What does it cost to complete the purchase of a home?
A. The amount varies from property to property, but you can expect the following costs, known as “Closing Costs,” with most purchases. Closing Costs must be paid to your lawyer, by way of certified cheque, bank draft, or money order, BEFORE you are given the keys to your new home. After you have retained a lawyer, he or she will calculate the amount of money you will need to pay to your lawyer’s office before the Possession Date.
