What does ISO9001:2000 and AS9100B Certified mean?
ISO 9001 is a quality management system and is intended for use in any organization which designs, develops, manufactures, installs and/or services any product or provides any form of service. It provides a number of requirements which an organization needs to fulfill if it is to achieve customer satisfaction through consistent products and services which meet customer expectations. The latest version is: 2000. AS9100B is based on ISO 9001:2000, but with more than 75 additional requirements specific to aerospace, AS9100 provides suppliers with a comprehensive quality system focused on areas directly impacting product safety and reliability. AS9100 is rapidly becoming a prerequisite for doing business, as many aerospace original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) only work with suppliers that are registered to the applicable AS9100 standard.
