What Does Irish Water Setter Look Like?
There is no such thing as an “Irish Water Setter”. There are Irish Setter, and Irish Water Spaniel. These are two quite different breeds. Irish setters are a beautiful shiny mahogany colour, quite light built and leggy, with moderate featherings of longer hair on tail and upper legs. Irish Water Spaniels are similar height, but more solid, in a liver colour with dense curly hair all over except the face and tail. They look somewhat like a brown poodle whose hair has been let grow long.
