What does implied consent mean?
When an individual gets a driver’s license they agreed to the “implied consent” language included on the license. If police officers believe that a driver is under the influence of alcohol or drugs, the driver will be asked to submit to testing to determine if he or she is under the influence while driving. When you get your license you agree that you will consent to those tests. If you refuse to take those tests when asked you will lose your license for a period of time regardless of whether ot not you are ultimately found to be driving under the influence or not.
