What does i child psychologist do?
They can do a few different things depending on their training. Some child psychologists do psychotherapy with kids and/or families, like talk therapy, behavioral therapy or play therapy. They can do group therapy with kids. Others might do assessments or testing with kids if their parents or doctors think something is wrong, or if they are having trouble in school. They can also consult with other doctors and teachers about kids and issues related to kids (such a bullying, ADHD, etc.). Others might go into teaching child psychology to educate students in that area, or supervise students training in child psychology. Some do all of these things and others just one or a couple.
