What does high and low resolution mean?
Resolution means dots per inch (dpi). If the resolution used to make a printed copy is too low, you will see the dots, just as you sometimes do in a photograph. Low resolution is intended for electronic distribution (for example, e-mail); high resolution is used for high-quality printing. Because high resolution files are prepared specifically for printing, they can take longer to download and save than regular PDFs. Sometimes higher resolution is not the best option. If your printer can’t use the information, the extra resolution only increases the time it takes the printer to process the document.
