What does “graduate with honours” mean in the UK educational system?
An Honours degree does not mean that you have passed with honours at all. In the past all degrees in the UK were Ordinary degrees and the student was selected or applied to do the Honours Degree a year later. Many degrees in the UK now incorporate the Honours part of the course into the three year degree now. Having an Honours degree had nothing to do with the level of attainment at all. You can fail an Honors degree or pass just pass. The links below will be helpful. This question was asked some time back and the person who answered did a splendid job of explaining.
