What does gold react with to form a compound?

0

Gold forms a number of compounds including, as the previous answer states, Gold Cyanide which is used for gold plating items. Gold isn’t very reactive so if there were better and less poisonous compounds available they would be used instead, however the choice is limited. Fluorine and Chlorine react with Gold to form fluorides and chlorides but these are quite reactive themselves and will react with various substances and leave the gold behind.
