What does goat milk ice cream taste like?
Yummy. Goat milk ice cream tastes more similar to cow-milk ice cream than goat milk tastes to cow milk (simply because the sugar is so strong in ice cream), but you can still clearly taste the shall-we-say-funk of the goat. I’ve had Laloo’s Chocolate and also their Vanilla and both are spectacular, much more interesting and deep than plain ice cream. I also find the texture more compelling—thicker, smoother, more gelato-like—than my conception of average cow ice cream. But that may be just that Laloo’s has decent gelato technique.
