GGF stands for the Garman Golf Festival. The event is named for its founder, Dave Garman. The trip really didn’t have a name until the 3rd or 4th year when Dave started going on another trip called the BHO (the Bob Howell Open). Not really wanting to copy the BHO outright, the DGO (Dave Garman Open) was out, and the GGF was born.
