What does Gandhi World Hunger Fund do to help the less fortunate?
A GWHF develops and maintains programmes to help prevent and reverse hunger. During emergency situations we deliver life-saving relief in the form of food, medical supplies, clothing, and shelter directly to those in need. We promote community health by offering education in nutrition, hygiene, and basic food preparation. We help to prevent disease by offering medical services and medications to those in need. We also offer nutritional support and education to pregnant women and nursing mothers to prevent low birth weight and stunted growth.
