What does full-time equivalent mean?
A. Full-time equivalent is a convenient way of describing a candidate’s study period (whether the total allowable, or the amount that has elapsed to date) in terms of a standard. This makes it easier to assess how far a candidate has progressed, regardless of whether they are full-time or part-time or have had a combination of the two. It facilitates comparison of a candidate to the norm. For example; if a candidate has done one year full time study and one year part time study his total candidature time elapsed to date would be one and half years and the Maximum completion date would then be calculated accordingly.
