What does “Flag Removed” and “ARO Contact” mean on the Powerchart demographic bar?
When a patient has been deemed cleared of their antibiotic-resistant organism (after evaluation by Infection Prevention and Control), the flag on the demographic bar will be changed to “Flag Removed”. If you see “ARO Contact”, it is an indication that this patient is considered a contact, and has had exposure to a recently identified ARO positive person. They will require follow-up screening as per the hospital Medical Directive.
