What does drama/acting class consist of?
They will use improvisation to develop stage presence, vocal techniques and physical techniques. They will then move into scripted scene work to learn interpretation of text. Level 2 students will participate in a variety of advanced theatre arts activities. They will learn to use warm ups to focus and speech techniques (i.e. diction and characterization). They will use improvisation to develop original scenarios, detailed characters and to understand character motivations. They will use scripted scene work that will expose them to a variety of theatrical styles (i.e. drama, comedy and children’s theatre). Potential to culminate in a end of season production or participation in the June SFAC performance.
