What does double counting mean?
When a student completes one course and uses it for two requirements of an academic program or between a two academic programs it is called double counting. Double counting between two majors or a major and a minor or a minor and minor is not allowed by the University and requires approval from the departments involved. You are allowed to double count major or minor courses for general education requirements.
