What does “Discuss the different ideals of love represented by Orsino, Viola and Olivia” mean?

Well, in Twelfth Night, each of the characters has their own idea of what love is, their own idea of what ‘ideal’ love is. For instance, Olivia spends all her time mourning over her dead brother. So Olivia’s ideal love is love that goes beyond earthly existence, is pure grief over someone whose dead and gone. To put it simply, it’s loving a ghost. So each character has their own version of ‘ideal’ love, and so each character can be said to represent that version of love. So the question is simply asking you to identify what these characters’ versions of ideal love are and to compare them.
