Switchover has already come to the North east of Scotland and is scheduled to change over in the STV Central region in the summer of 2011. At switchover, analogue signals at these transmitters will be switched off in two stages and replaced with digital channels, allowing many homes to receive Freeview channels for the first time. The Balck Hill transmitter, which serves Glasgow, will start the switch from 8 June 2011 with the second stage due on 22 June 2011. If you live in a flat or share an aerial with another household, it is likely that you receive your TV signal through a communal TV aerial system. Tenants First has already upgraded these systems to enable you to receive digital TV. You will need to upgrade or adapt all your own TV equipment, if you haven’t already done so.
