However, the “cut” of a diamond in fact refers to the quality of the cutting process and not to the shape. You should therefore simply choose the shape of diamond you prefer and then look for one with Excellent or Very Good cut grade. All 1791 Diamonds are Excellent or Very Good cut. The most common shape is the Round Brilliant. Princess (square) shaped diamonds are also very common. Other factors to consider when selecting a diamond are carat size, cut, clarity and colour.
