The term destitute means deprived means without subsistence, lacking food, clothing and shelter. It is basically an acute state of poverty, in which a human being is totally lacking of resources or means of support. A human who is destitute is basically homeless, unemployed and hungry, which can even lead to starvation and death. A destitute person basically gets support in places like Homeless Shelters. The Homeless Shelters are places which offer provisional residence to homeless people. The shelters are often found in urban surroundings and are quiet alike to emergency shelters. The only key difference is that homeless shelters are generally open for anyone and everyone, without the regard to the motive for need. A few shelters limit their customers according to sexual category or age.
