What Does Design Brief Mean?
It’s the instructions that are given to the designer by the person or company who are commissioning the designer to do some work. For example, the design brief given to the designer of the new £20 note was that it should be in blue of varying shades, have the Queen’s head to the right, the numeral ’20’ to appear twice on the front and the words ‘Twenty Pounds’ to appear once on the front. Other than that, the designer has the freedom to play around with the design as he or she feels fit. I hope this clarifies things!
