What does delivery exception mean on Fedex tracking?
A “delivery exception” means the package was ready for delivery today, but for one of several reasons the delivery could not be made. If you scroll down the tracking page, the details section should tell you the reason for the exception. Apple requires an indirect signature for all deliveries – it is most likely that is the cause for the exception. If that was the reason, please be sure to sign your doortag and leave it where the driver can get it. You can leave him a note stating where you’d like the package left.
