What does client directed mean?
Client directed means that when a request is coming from a client, it is very specific to them and is not an industry standard. Most large corporations that create database systems or main large data collection systems, like Oracle or ADP Canada, gear themselves towards the majority of the market and users. When a client requests a database structure that falls outside of those bounds, we feel that we can develop an appropriate solution outside of the normal parameters. A client directed project is one where the client has very specific parameters. The project is designed with that in mind and it may never have any other application anywhere else in the market place. The finished product is unique and tailored towards the specific needs of the client.
