What does Cleanning and Overhaul Mean?
The movement is extracted from the case of the watch and is totally disassembled. At that point the Master Watchmaker examines all of the parts and replaces the parts that need to be and inserts the parts in a special container for the watch-cleaninng machine. The watch-cleanning machine has 4 compartments (1 filled with cleanning solution and 3 filled with rinse and dryer). The cleanning cycle usually takes 45 to 70 minutes. At that point the movement is given back to the watchmaker and he or she reassembles it and puts Seiko oil where Seiko determines that it is needed.
