“I am the Vine, you are the branches. When you’re joined with me and I with you; the relationship intimate and organic, the harvest is sure to be abundant. Separated you can’t produce a thing” (John 15:5). What an awesome, communal picture of our life in Christ. A vine does not exist with one branch, but many. And, to be joined with Christ is also to be joined with [the body of] Christ, the church; therefore our mission is to be a Christ-centered community leading persons toward growing relationship with God in the power of the Holy Spirit. Our participation in Christ through the life of his Body, the church, nurtures us as a branch. This passion is stated in “embodiment language” and in bold letters on our home page as “Worship One, Love All.” Isolated from [the body of] Christ none of the branches can do anything to significantly impact the world with Christ.
