What does CARB Verified mean?
The California Air Resources Board (CARB or ARB) has established a process whereby retrofit emissions control systems for diesel engines are qualified under set standards for various levels and engine families in order to guarantee reliable emissions reductions. CARB verification is a requirement for retrofit programs funded by the government, but otherwise not a requirement of purchase or use in the state of California. A CARB verification is reciprocal with an equivalent EPA verification.
