What does CAPCCAT search?
CAPCCAT searches for the presence of CAS Registration Number on/in any of: • the Domestic Substances List (DSL) • the Non-Domestic Substances List (NDSL) • the list of substances approved under the Food and Drugs Act (F&DA) and in commerce between ’84 and ’86, and which are therefore eligible for listing on the DSL (FDA-DSL) • the list of substances approved under the F&DA and in commerce between ’87 and ’01 – the In-Commerce List (ICL) • a Significant New Activity Notice (SNAc) • a Ministerial Condition (MC) • a Prohibition • Schedule 1 ‘List of Toxic Substances’ • the priorities identified by the categorization of the DSL (CatDSL) • other human health priorities identified by Health Canada during the categorization of the DSL which did not meet the categorization criteria • the list of substances currently scheduled for deletion from the DSL In addition, if your substance does not have a CASRN (for example: Fragrance), CAPCCAT will search the ICL by substance name or partial name to
