CAO refers to the Critical Areas Ordinance, one of three pieces of the legislation in the Critical Areas package transmitted to the Council in early March. The other two are the Stormwater Ordinance and the Clearing and Grading Ordinance. Together they will help reduce flood hazards and protect drinking water, streams and wetlands.
