What does breadcrumbing mean in webpage terms?
Breadcrumbing is a navigational way to follow the path you have taken through a website. For the CEE website the “breadcrumbing” is located in the top gray bar. All CEE pages start with “Georgia Tech” then “College of Engineering” then “CEE”. From there it follows the path of pages the user has clicked on. For example, the breadcrumbing for this page is: “Georgia Tech >> College of Engineering >> CEE >> FAQs >> FAQ Answers” each of these is a clickable link going back to the previous page in the navigation tree. This way you can quickly and easily retrace the path you have taken throughout the site (all the way back to the Georgia Tech main website).
