Branch splits up the thread, so if a discussion has gone off-topic, you can move the off-topic posts to another thread. Lock locks the thread so it’s not possible to post more. This closes the discussion. Continue creates a new thread on the same topic, and is used when the old thread has become very long. Archive moves the thread into the archives.
