What does ayurvedic mean?
Ayurveda is a stream of alternative medicine focusing curing illnesses through natural remedies and lifestyle changes. It’s a scientific approach based on systematic cause and affect principles. Largely ayurvaidic remedies are made from herbal sources but use of trace metals or animal sources is also not uncommon. Coming back to your question of ayurvaidic soap, it probably means that this is made from herbal ingredients, or it has some herbal ingredient which is good for skin (commonly neem, sandal, basil, turmeric or rose) or might just mean that they used vegetable oil to make it. Often the hand made soaps (home made) are also marketed as ayurvaidic. It certainly does not mean that you can eat it and it may not necessarily be pure either. If you could tell me the brand, I may give you a idea of what it is.
