“When you get your feet wet in this music industry you might hear some terms such as an A&R. What does the A&R stand for in the music industry? Well, technically, textbook it means artists and repertoire. Now, put that in oh, basic art terms that means basically, the guy, you know, that deals with the artists, the face man for the artists, you know. You won’t catch, you know, Mr. Warner comin’ down from Warner Brother records to come tell you that he’s interested in signin’ a deal which you, but a A&R might come out, you know, and see somethin’, and say, you know, Warner Brother would like to work which ya’. You know, he might be the guy that comes back and speaks on your behalf, sayin’ well, I’ve talked to this group, I’ve talked to this rapper, I’ve talked to this singer and these are the requirements that they would like to see, this is the things that they want.
