What does an isosceles triangle measure?

I think an isoceles triangle is a triangle that has 2 sides of equal length. It’s just a ‘type’ of triangle. I don’t think it really ‘measures’ anything. Other types of triangle are: equilateral (all sides are equal length), scalene (all sides are different lengths), and right-angled. Interior angles of a triangle always add up to 180 degrees.
