What does an internship/practicum involve?
An internship is designed to give you hands-on experience working in a professional setting such as a hospital, research lab, clinic, or community setting. Pure observational time is kept at a minimum and you will have the opportunity to practice what up to now has been mostly theory. Our internship coordinator will work with you and your advisor to arrange your internship either at one of the large number of sites with which we maintain relationships, or at a site of your choosing. To participate you must have completed your junior year and have a cumulative GPA of 2.0. Learn more about internships.
