What does an evil overlord do in his free time?
Actually, if you catch the BBC series “The Wrong Door”, they have a sketch that shows EXACTLY what an evil overlord does in his spare time. He’s meeting with vendors selling their wares for mass destruction (and weeding through their sales pitches and marketing crap). He’s dealing with general maintenance issues in his evil abode, things like trap doors not working right or ejection seats failing to spring at the right moment, identifying the appropriate animals to devour people (and dealing with pirhanna that won’t bite, “sharks” that turn out to be friendly dolphins, or wolves that lick the people who fall into the pit. Then there’s employee issues. You might think, hey, just hire a bunch of evil henchmen and they will do what you need. But, WRONG. Think about it, if they were dependable, they’d become their own evil overlords. They aren’t. Good help is tough to find no matter what the business is.
