What does an electrician usually charge as an hourly, “cash-in-hand” rate?? ?
an electrician does not charge by the hour as they charge per day or by the job. if your electrician is asking for cash in hand then i think that you had better check that they are part p registered, the electrician if not part p registered and yourself can be find up to £5,000 if they are caught doing work for you and you will not be let off if you say that you didn`t know know that they wern`t part p registered + the work that they do will not be covered on your home insurance if something goes wrong and you have a fire or someone gets injured because of a fault caused by the work that they did. also note that should you sell your property and a fault develops from that work you are still liable for prosecution for several years after leaving the property in which they are able to trace you.
