What does an average Camp Molly day look like for a counselor versus a program director?
Counselors are assigned to camper groups so a counselor would be with the same group of children for the entire camp day. Program directors see all the camper groups throughout the day/week. Counselors and program directors take turns supervising on the camper buses to and from camp. Upon arrival, counselors take their camper group to their designated area to unpack, apply sunscreen, bug spray, get ready for announcements, etc. Program directors go to their areas (waterfront, ropes course, etc.) and prepare for the day. Everyone has to be present for morning announcements. Then, camper groups rotate through activities. (Each group has a schedule to follow.) So, program directors stay at their program area and facilitate the activities for your groups. Counselors rotate activity to activity with the campers.
