What does an agent for the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission do?
Agents are commissioned peace officers. Agents enforce the provisions of the Alcoholic Beverage Code that regulates every phase of the business of manufacturing, importing, exporting, transporting, storing, selling, advertising, labeling, distributing, state taxation of alcoholic beverages, and the possession of alcoholic beverages for the purpose of sale or otherwise. As commissioned peace officers, they also enforce any state law or local ordinance. [Section 5.
