What does all the talk about Y‑12s transformation mean?
The Y‑12 National Security Complex is becoming smaller, safer, more secure and less expensive. Three elements — people, technology and infrastructure — are key to advancing the efficient fulfillment of Y‑12’s national security mission. What’s being done to consolidate buildings and processes at Y‑12? While new facilities are vital to Y‑12’s future, consolidation of current production functions is an essential interim step.
