What does ACP mean?
ACP stands for the ‘African, Caribbean, Pacific’ Group of States which have cooperation agreements with the European Union (EU). The ACP Group is subdivided into six regions, in which CTA implements its mandate, under the Cotonou Agreement signed in 2000. There are 79 countries in the ACP Group, 78 of which are signatories to the Cotonou Agreement (and its predecessor, the Lomé Convention).
