The webquest guides the student through a series of step-by-step processes to enable them to complete the task. This can be used to enhance independent learning, where learners work individually or as part of a larger group with individually assigned roles. Students should receive guidance on how to complete the task. This may take the form of ‘scaffolding’ (where the student builds up knowledge through a series of smaller task), or the use of directed questions, concept mapping, tables and worksheets.
