What does a Wal-mart asset protection manager do?
A Asset Protection Coordinator (APC) is in charge of security and, to a large extent, compliance and safety. He also manages the Asset Protection Associates [security] (some stores have only APCs, but this is increasingly rare). Some APCs do not deal directly with shoplifting or do so only very rarely; some, particularly those who work alone, work on shoplifting matters regularly and perform apprehensions (detainment of shoplifters).
