What does a typical setup for the X1 and X7 look like?
CAT Computer: Writer Input: Stentura, Com 8, 9600 baud Realtime Output: CaseView/Summation/LiveNote, Com 1, 2400 baud MS Windows will assign a Com port for the Bluetooth signal that the StenoCast X1 sends from your writer. It may not be Com 8. If you are plugging the StenoCast X7 into a USB port on your computer, MS Windows will assign it the next available Com port. If you are attaching the StenoCast X7 to a 9-pin serial port that is built into your CAT computer, your Realtime Output will probably be through Com 1. Judge/Attorney Computer: Realtime Input: CaseView/Summation/LiveNote, Com 3, 2400 baud If you are using a USB EzReceiver, MS Windows will assign a Com port for it. Com 3 is just an example.
