What does a typical meal consist of in Ocotepeque?
Our program will provide breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Meals consist of an array of fresh fruits and vegetables as well as chicken, eggs, rice, meat and assorted bread products. All the food is cooked in purified water. Volunteers really enjoy the meals! There is a grocery store in the town as well. The store is within close walking distance of the school and home. There are also numerous smaller stores with snacks if you care to buy something else. In addition there are a few restaurants to choose from in Ocotepeque.
