What does a ypical ceremony consist of?
Typically, we arrive an hour before your wedding begins so we can set up and run through a few songs. As your guests start arriving we being to play the prelude music, giving them the first elegant impressions of your wedding day. In our experience, guests usually arrive ten to fifteen minutes before the wedding begins. Next we watch for a cue from the wedding party to begin processional music. Often we will play a song between readings if there is no singer, and a song during the lighting of a unity candle. When the ceremony has concluded, we play the recessional music and continue to play as your guests are leaving. If you plan to “release the rows” yourself, and dismissal is longer, please mention this when booking as this will extend the amount of time we will play. If weddings are to include communion, we often play a sacred piece during this time. Please mention, when booking, if you will be having communion in your ceremony. • A. A typical ceremony begins with us arriving early to set up and then playing prelude music (starting 20 minutes prior to the ceremony)music so that your guests arrive to the sound of music. We then play the processional for the bridal party and the bride. Very often we play a selection during the ceremony–either for the lighting of the Unity Candle, or for a special interlude. We then play the recessional, and finish with music for your guests to exit by (another 15-20 minutes). A typical wedding does not include playing with a vocalist. There will be additional charges for playing with a vocalist, as this will involve extra rehearsal, time, and most likely music arrangement. This topic can be discussed on a case-by-case basis.
