What does a sweaty head in a child adopted from China mean?
Sweaty heads are commonly associated with Rickets, which is a vitamin D and calcium deficiency. Though this has been a well-recognized symptom of rickets for centuries, there is no adequate scientific explanation for the sweaty head of a child with rickets. When the rickets resolves, the sweaty head remains. It is not a disease and need not be treated.
