What does a suit of armour like this cost?
It’s difficult to discuss hard numbers because each armour has its own price based on the requirements of the harness. It’s impossible to give you a “standard” price because each harness is unique. The only thing I can tell you is that a full harness of spring steel starts at about $20K, and they go up from there. But you should remember that a harness takes a year to make, so $20K for a year’s work really isn’t unreasonable, especially when we’re talking about something as specialized as this. For example, you could easily spend twice that on a dune buggy that takes 6-8 weeks to build. With armour, every single thing except the rivets are custom built by hand. With a dune buggy, there’s a lot of custom fabrication, but a lot of things come as stock parts which can be assembled. You don’t have that with armour.
