What does a standard pre-employment drug screening detect, and in what time frame?
If you checking out wikipedia.org looking up the names of the prescribed drugs you take, you can usually see how long the product affects you as well as how long it stays in your blood stream. Sheisty employers have been known to perform things OTHER than tests for illegal drugs on the urine samples given,.. things like testing for diabetes, pregnancy and cigarette smoking without permission.. not to mention that several over the counter medications (like ibuprofen) can cause false positives. You should never go off your prescribed medications without doctor’s supervision, period… and I bet your doctor would agree;) If you are worried or prefer to keep your personal life personal,.. that is up to you. If you are caught smuggling in synthetic urine or using a body flush, that is the same as testing positive… BUT it is the only way to keep your private life private when it comes to drug screenings.
